SWYPE CLOUD PRIVACY POLICY

Swype Cloud is a mobile application developed and operated by Horizons West to allow parents and guardians to manage school transport payments, monitor bus tracking, and view transaction history for their children at participating schools.

2.1 Account Information

When you register or log in, we collect:

• Full name
• Email address
• Mobile phone number

2.2 Payment Information

To process credit top-ups, we collect:

• Credit or debit card details (card number, expiry date, cardholder name)
• Payment card tokens provided by our payment processor (Stripe)

We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Card details are tokenised and processed securely by Stripe. Stripe’s privacy policy is available at https://stripe.com/au/privacy.

2.3 Location Information

With your permission, we collect your device’s location to:

• Display your current position relative to school buses on the map
• Calculate estimated bus arrival times

Location access is only used while the app is open. We do not collect location data in the background.

2.4 Device Information

We automatically collect:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version number
• A device identifier (used for push notification delivery)

2.5 Transaction and Usage Data

We collect records of:

• Credit top-up transactions
• Bus tag-on/tag-off events associated with your children
• School and student records linked to your account

We use the information collected to:

• Authenticate your account and provide access to the app
• Process credit payments for school transport
• Display bus locations and estimated arrival times
• Send push notifications about your account and school transport
• Provide customer support
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Your child’s school: to manage transport records and credits
• Stripe: our payment processor, for secure card handling
• Google Maps: to render maps and location data within the app
• Service providers: who assist us in operating the app (e.g. hosting, analytics), under confidentiality agreements
• Law enforcement or regulators: where required by law

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as required to provide services to you. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable time, subject to any legal retention obligations.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted communications (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure password handling
• Tokenised payment processing via Stripe

The Swype Cloud app is intended for use by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. Student records (names, school IDs) are associated with a parent or guardian account.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for location access at any time via your device settings
