Overview

Horizons West is reinstating its ‘Referral Bonus Scheme’, effective 7 July 2023. We believe our existing employees are in a favourable position to refer individuals well suited to the company, and therefore we wish to reward them for their referral efforts.

Eligible Referral Positions

Bus Driver, Bus Aide, and HD Mechanic positions will be the only positions eligible for the referral bonus.

Referral Bonus

A total referral bonus of $1,500 will be paid to the Existing Employee in the below instalment and under the following conditions:

1. First instalment of $300 is paid upon Referred Employee’s successful completion of 1 months’ service, subject to the new starter averaging a minimum of 15 hours per week across the period. If Referred Employee does not average 15 hours per week at 1 month of employment, the first instalment will be paid upon the Referred Employee completing 65 hours of work.
2. Second instalment of $500 is paid upon Referred Employee’s successful completion of 3 months’ service, subject to new starter averaging a minimum of 15 hours per week across the period. If Referred Employee does not average 15 hours per week at 3 months of employment, the second instalment will be paid upon the Referred Employee completing 195 hours of work.
3. Third instalment of $700 is paid upon Referred Employee’s successful completion first 6 months’ service, subject to new starter averaging a minimum of 15 hours per week across the period. If Referred Employee does not average 15 hours per week at 6 months of employment, the third instalment will be paid upon the new starter completing 390 hours of work.

Conditions

1. The referral bonus is paid to the Existing Employee only.
2. The Referred Candidate must be a new, non-returning employee.
3. The Referred Candidate must nominate the Referee on their Employment Application.
4. Once a referral bonus instalment is due, the amount will be paid to the Existing Employee in the next applicable pay period.
5. You must be currently employed by Horizons West to receive a referral bonus payout.
6. The Referred Employee must be currently employed, with no impending resignation.
7. The referral bonus is exempt from superannuation and subject to the standard tax deductions.
